When couples walk into the Bride & Groom Expo, they are often thinking about dresses, décor, and wedding venues. But thanks to companies like Fakhruddin Properties, many now leave thinking beyond the big day to home ownership.

Since their debut at the expo in 2017, Fakhruddin Properties has used this platform to reach many couples, many of whom had never imagined owning a home was within their grasp.

“At every expo, we meet people who are surprised by our pricing,” says Susan Adrabo, a sales and marketing executive at Fakhruddin Properties.

“They don’t expect modern, well-located apartments to be accessible. The expo gives us a chance to change that perception, face-to-face.”

Fakhruddin Properties specialises in selling apartments or modern living spaces in Kampala, tailored to young families. The Bride & Groom Expo has become a key touchpoint for them, not just to showcase properties, but to start conversations that often turn into sales.

“This is not just an event. It’s a marketing tool that works. We have closed deals from the leads we have collected from the expo over the years. But even more importantly, people walk away talking about us. They tell friends, they come back later, they remember.”

That kind of long-term value is what Vision Group had in mind when shaping this year’s edition of the expo. Themed “Beyond ‘I Do’: Building a Lifetime Together”, the 2025 expo goes past the wedding aisle and into everyday life, bringing together vendors that can support couples as they build their future together.

“We are now looking at the full journey,” says Jackie Taweeka, Events Sales Manager at Vision Group. “From wedding planning to settling into a home, this expo is here to support couples through all the big milestones.”

New additions this year include a session on buying your first home, hosted by real estate lawyer Counsel Deo Kalikumutima. On Saturday, June 28, at 3:00pm, he will guide couples through budgeting, choosing a property and avoiding common pitfalls in Uganda’s property market.

The Bride & Groom Expo 2025 kicks off this Friday, June 27 and runs through Sunday, June 29, at Uganda Manufacturers’ Association Showgrounds. Tickets are sh10,000 per person, per day.

The expo this year is sponsored by Crown Beverages, The Looks Bespoke and Bella Wine in partnership with Entiko Safari Lodge, Café Javas, Roke Telkom, Dream & Dress, Fontis Residences and Hotel and Izu Treats.

Whether you’re engaged, married, or simply exploring your options, the expo promises inspiration, connection, and real opportunities to build the life you want.
