Over 5000 Ugandans get treatment at Indian Association camp

LIRA - The Indian Women Association (IWA) in Uganda on May 11, 2023, conducted a three-day medical camp and provided medical services to over 5000 residents of Lira district.

The camp, organised by IWA in partnership with Human Life International Uganda attracted thousands of people, who required medical services.

The IWA chairperson, Patel Falgun, said the association distributed free medicines and health supplies to the patients, making a significant impact on the community’s health and wellbeing.

She said they offered free medical services to the public including eye screening, dental services, and blood donation.

“The camps are aimed are aimed at contributing towards the treatment of Ugandans who cannot afford treatment in different hospitals across the country,” Falgun said.

Jonathan Opio, the executive director of Human Life International Uganda, said they will organise more medical camps in other rural areas in Uganda.
