The celebration of the 37th anniversary of Emmanuel College Kazo (EMACO), which took place at the school (in Kawempe Division, Kampala) on Friday (September 29, 2023) did not end without surprises.
The big surprise of the day was the science exhibition, in which the students showcased outstanding innovations, the most stunning of which was the 3-wheel “utility vehicle”, the engine boat, drones, computer games and the vertical gardens, just to mention a few.

The Assistant Commissioner in Charge of Private Schools and Institutions at the Ministry of Education, Dr. George Mutekanga, the Vicar-General of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Kampala, Msgr. Charles Kasibante (and the other guests) were greatly impressed by the students’ innovations.
Dr. Mutekaga went even an extra-mile and promised to look for scholarships for the innovative students, to go and do engineering courses in Japan.

The headteacher of Emmanuel College, Rotarian Paul Kiguba said the school opted to strengthen its skilling programme as a response to the challenge of unemployment among the youth, who he said, constitute a very big percentage of the country’s population.
During the same function, over 162 students of Emmanuel College who attended the school's 2-week holiday skilling progamme were awarded certificates in their respective vocational trades.
