Region spokesperson James Mubi, while speaking to New Vision Online on Wednesday, said upon arrest over the weekend, Mwezye was searched and found with two bullets and sketch maps. Mubi added that they are going to be subjected to verification by experts from the Uganda Police Force and Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF).

Mubi also noted that after arrest while at Jinja Central Police Station, while being questioned, the suspect spoke fluent Congolese language and later switched to various languages from Uganda.

Mubi added that while switching languages, he also pretended to be mentally ill.

"According to our observation, we are preparing to question him more with UPDF and Police experts as they also look at the sketch maps for proper handling," he said.

Mubi noted that before making any conclusive report if he belongs to any terror group they will also subject him to a mental examination.

Mubi warned the public about unknown people in their areas at gathering areas like worship centres, markets, and hotels, among others.

He noted that they have turned to community policing on personal and community security whereby they also give the police free toll lines to call in case of anomalies.
