Women in climate change meet today, July 24, 2025, to discuss and share practical solutions that can be embraced by other women to cope with the changing climate.

The solutions are expected to be shared during the 4th Annual Women in Climate Change Action Conference at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) main campus in Kampala.

According to the conference organisers, the conference will run under the theme: Women Leading Climate Action: From Local Solutions to Global Policy and Innovation.

During the conference, leaders are expected to share collaborative strategies that will empower participants to bridge local initiatives with global policy frameworks.

Through panel discussions, conference organisers aim to accelerate inclusive climate leadership, ensuring women’s perspectives shape a resilient and equitable future for all.

Through targeted workshops and training sessions, the conference will equip women with essential skills in climate governance, green entrepreneurship, green finance, and advocacy. This commitment will track progress toward increasing female representation in climate leadership by 2030, ensuring long-term accountability.

WiCCA 2025 is expected to spotlight high-impact, women-led innovations in areas such as waste management, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and climate adaptation.

Partnerships formed during the event will lead to increased support for women’s climate enterprises, driving real-world impact and contributing to Uganda’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

At the conference, there will be spotlights on dynamic approaches like empowering women to accelerate climate action at every level and also forging partnerships to increase support for women’s climate enterprises, driving real-world impact and contributing to Uganda’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
