UN climate talks home in on fossil fuel deal

Jaber, the head of the national oil company of the United Arab Emirates, has repeatedly promised to deliver a historic deal and urged countries to find a "consensus and common ground" on fossil fuel.

The UAE suffers from high air pollution levels fed by its fossil fuel industry, Human Rights Watch warned earlier this month, as the oil-rich country hosts the UN's COP28 climate talks in Dubai. (AFP)
