President Museveni on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, graced the third Uganda-European Union Business Forum.
The forum has attracted over 3,600 participants both physically and online.
The event under the theme: Boosting Trade and Investments-how can Uganda gain from the global gateway?
Speaking at the forum at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, animal husbandry state minister Bright Rwamirama wooed investors to harness the opportunities available in Uganda in the agriculture sector.
The forum has attracted groups of investors from France, German, Netherlands, Portugal, Ireland, Sweden and Poland among others.
Van Ettro, the acting ambassador of the Netherlands to Uganda, told investors that Uganda has a lot of potential to offer.

"EU has to find a way of harnessing these opportunities in the agriculture and oil and gas sectors," he said.
Dr Ian Clarke, the CEO Clarke Farms, said the rural areas are where the people are and that's where investors need to create Jobs.
"I appreciate the EU for really looking to create jobs in agriculture. This will mean that we shall get more girls in education. Agribusiness is something that is very key to the country," he said.
According to Ambassador Ettro, the EU working together with Uganda, will unlock the financial opportunity for local businesses.
He said this is needed to create jobs for over 700,000 youths that enter the job market per year.
