The Ministry Finance, Planning and Economic Development and the Ministry of Lands and Urban Development have been tasked to work together to address land titling across the country and the capitalisation of the land fund.

This is part of the resolutions reached at a two-day second Uganda Development Forum Annual Conference 2023 that ended on Sunday November 5, 2023 at Chobe Safari Lodge.

The conference was held under theme: "Working together to effectively develop sustainable end-to-end agricultural value chains."

The ministry of finance was also urged to support agencies driving wealth creation agenda, support coffee exporters and agricultural research especially coffee research, capitalizing Uganda Development Bank (UDB) and Uganda Development Corporation (UDC) among other resolutions.

The ministry of finance permanent secretary, Dr Ramadhan Ggoobi observed the need to equally focus on other pillars of wealth creation besides the money component.

He also noted that very few working Ugandans are gainfully participating in agricultural commodity value chains, despite the dominance of agro-manufacturing in Uganda's manufacturing sector.

Ggoobi highlighted how the government had provided money for each category of wealth creators including: Parish Development Model (PDM) (sh1.1 trillion for FY 2023/24), UDB (sh1.4 trillion), UDC (sh1.02 trillion invested), Emyooga (sh480 billion).
