Bugoma Forest: Govt to conclude boundary re-opening
The team abandoned the boundary operation on December 17, 2021 amid protests from local people on grounds that they had not been engaged in the boundary demarcation exercise.
In 2019, Cabinet ordered the lands ministry to open the boundary of Bugoma Central Forest Reserve after one of the largest sanctuaries for chimpanzees in the country was trapped in controversy.
