ITHUBA, the proud operator of the Uganda National Lottery, is thrilled to announce that the festive season has brought exceptional joy to Ugandans. Four lucky participants each won UGX 17,764,400, while another lucky winner claimed UGX 35,528,800 in the latest POWERBALL draw 55 held on Friday, 13th December 2024.

While the coveted POWERBALL jackpot of UGX 1.2 billion remains unclaimed, an impressive UGX 100 million rolled down to the next highest prize division, spreading cheer to even more participants. This unique feature has amplified the excitement of the game, creating new winners just in time for the festive season.

The winning numbers for the draw were: 17, 27, 37, 38, 42, and the POWERBALL number was 07.

The Uganda National Lottery urges all participants to check their tickets promptly. Here’s how prizes can be claimed:

Prizes below Shs5 Million: Claim at any registered retailer or point of purchase.

Tickets purchased via USSD: Winners will receive direct payments of up to UGX 15 Million.

Online or Mobi Web tickets: Prizes up to UGX 20 Million will be paid directly to winners' E-wallets.

Higher-value prizes: Claim directly from an ITHUBA Uganda office in Kampala, Gulu, Mbarara, or Mbale.

To verify winning tickets, players can use the ticket checker available on the official website: www.nationallottery.go.ug.

Prize Claim Requirements

Participants claiming prizes from ITHUBA Uganda offices will need to present the following:

The winning ticket or valid winning SMS/email confirmation.

A valid National Identification card or passport.

Proof of a valid E-wallet or bank account (not older than 3 months).

For paper-based tickets, the owner must sign the back of the ticket, including their name, National Identification number, or passport number.
