Celebrating life

The memorial service to celebrate the life of former legislator Patrick Okabe and his wife, Christine, both of whom perished in a gruesome car crash on December 19, 2022, is slated for Saturday.

The memorial is being organised by the religious leaders in the Teso region in conjunction with the Okabe Foundation, which the late’s children are managing.

Speaker of Parliament Anita Among is expected to grace the event as a chief guest.

MP Emmanuel Omoding Okabe, the son of the deceased, said the memorial service will take place at "our home in Oburin B village, Olio sub-county, Serere County in Serere district”.

Among is expected to be joined by several ministers, including Hellen Adoa (State for Fisheries), Peter Ogwang (state sports), Keneth Obote (Teso affairs) and MPs who have all confirmed attendance.
