Baryomusi said the newly appointed board members will ably foster the development of the roads agency.

Allen Kagina, the UNRA executive director said they managed to add a total of 254.5 Kilometers bringing a total pave stick to 6,133 Kilometers in the 2022/2023 financial year.

In addition, 46 Kilometers  of town roads with various towns and municipalities outside the national road network were upgraded during the same period

"This investment in infrastructure contributes to facilitating movement, boosting trade, and promoting tourism across the nation,"  Kagina said

However, Kagina said the institution is highly indebted to the tune of Sh629.1b which has accumulated over time.
