Ntare School suspends S6 students over indiscipline

According to the letter dated October 3, 2023, from headteacher Saul Rwampororo, last night students of Senior Six exhibited high levels of indiscipline and destroyed school property including the recently installed CCTV cameras around the school.

The management of Ntare School has today indefinitely suspended all Senior Six students over exhibiting high levels of indiscipline last night.
In the morning Police from Mbarara Central Police Station were called to escort the students out of the school premises in less than 20 minutes. Some of the students were seen boarding bodabodas and taxis going home.
According to the letter dated October 3, 2023, from headteacher Saul Rwampororo, last night students of Senior Six exhibited high levels of indiscipline and destroyed school property including the recently installed CCTV cameras around the school.
“The board of governors will subsequently sit to assess the damage and chart a way forward," Rwampororo says in the letter.

In a telephone interview with New Vision Online, Rwampororo confirmed that last night, two students of Senior Six were found with mobile phones which he said is against the school's rules and regulations.
“When we expelled the two students, the rest of the Senior Six protested our move saying we cannot expel their colleagues, and ended up destroying some school properties including widows. We were left with no option but to send them home," Rwampororo said.

On when they will return to school, Rwampororo said that the organs of the school shall first sit and decide.
