Uganda Airlines is set to commence Entebbe-Mumbai direct flights on October 7, 2023.

The Uganda Airlines Chief Executive Officer, Jenifer Bamuturaki, said, “We will launch our flights on October 7. We shall have three flights a week. We want to start slowly then as we see the route growing, we will ramp up operations and flights.”

According to Bamuturaki, it is a long-awaited route for the entire Indian community and the business community of Uganda.

This route launch which was announced this August means a lot to the business fraternity because it will have a direct connection between the two countries.

This will foster tourism as well as medical trips to India and will help balance trade between the two nations.

Apart from passengers, cargo services are expected to be increased on this new direct route that is set to save time for the airline’s passengers and delivery of cargo being transported via air.

This follows the recent launch of the Uganda Airlines App that is revolutionizing and simplifying air travel. Through this application, passengers can now book and monitor their flights with convenience and ease.
