Nakimwero, 41, was born in Bukomero town council, Kiboga district. She is married, with children.

Nakimwero holds a master’s in land use and regional development and a bachelor’s in environmental management.

She attended Caltec Academy Makerere in Kampala and St Kizito High School Bethany in Mityana district.

Nakimwero has worked for 18 years in integrated risk management.

She is an activist of gender mainstreaming through the use of household methodologies.

In addition, she is an activist of population, health, and environment for inclusive household participation in poverty alleviation.

Nakimwero previously coordinated the Parliamentary Forum on Climate Change-Uganda (PFCC-U) and was also the chairperson for the 20 Ugandan Parliamentary Fora.

She is a member of the Green Climate Fund Designated Authority Committee.

Nakimwero is the current director of the African Coalition on Green Growth.

She forms part of the Uganda Climate Change and Gender Thematic negotiation group under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change arrangement.

Nakimwero has been coordinating the participation of the Ugandan Parliament in energy legislation under the umbrella of the International Renewable Energy Agency.

She also worked as a forestry officer at Kiboga district.

She is also a Member of the National Association of Professional Environmentalists.

Plans as district woman MP

Fulfillment of Kiboga district priorities in line with the parliamentary mandate through the implementation of experiences in service delivery, material support, and advocacy in all sectors, with special attention to agricultural entrepreneurship, land dispute resolution, environmental management, education, institutional development, and transport management.
