KAMPALA - Just after one of his wives, Rozina Negusei visited Kampala, Senegalese-American singer Akon is set to jet in next week.

While in Uganda in February, Negusei visited state house Entebbe and met with president Museveni who named her Estella Ihangwe where she promised to return with her husband, Akon. 

She also announced a $12 million (sh44billion) investment in Uganda’s entertainment industry adding that when she returns, they will be constructing a state-of-the-art resort in Jinja. 

It is important to note that Akon as an entrepreneur is into smart cities and cryptocurrency. 

He is building a smart city in his home country, Senegal dubbed ‘Akon city’ on 2,000 acres where they will only use his cryptocurrency called Akoin.

Negusei also talked about plans of promoting Uganda as a tourism destination by introducing an annual carnival that will see select artistes from across the globe perform in Uganda.
