Vision Group will support this year’s Kabaka Birthday Run with sh130m.

This was revealed on Thursday at the Kingdom headquarters in Bulange, Mengo by the Bukedde newspaper editor Micheal Ssebowa who handed over the cheque to the Buganda Kingdom Minister of Sports, Youth, and Arts, Robert Sserwanga alongside the Kingdom spokesperson Israel Kazibwe.

Ssebowa was accompanied to Bulange by Vision Group events manager Fiona Tamale.

“We have always been at the forefront of the Birthday Run with its numerous motions but this particular one of kicking HIV/AIDS out by 2030 prompted us to come on board and invest in the resources to drive the motion far and wide,” Ssebowa noted.

Minister Sserwanga pointed out Kabaka's vision to have his people healthy.

“Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II is championing the eradication of the disease and fronted it as the motion for his birthday celebrations which we proudly hold in high esteem,” Sserwanga noted.

“Kabaka would love to see healthy people hence the drive to stand firm in the fight against AIDS.”

Vision Group will also be selling the birthday run kits at sh20,000 at their head office in the Industrial Area. The run is slated for April 7.
