The crash on March 14, 2023, happened after a Sino truck swerved off the road and knocked a school perimeter fence, and rammed into a computer laboratory before it proceeded to the Senior Four classroom block.

Following the incident, business at the school was suspended to give children some time to heal from the shock arising from the incident.

According to Gomba district inspector of schools Charles Lwanga, the traumatised students are still receiving psychosocial support as the studies continue.

"The school had to resume studies, we couldn't keep these students at home for long. We shall proceed with studies as we also take these children through counselling," Lwanga said.

Wilberforce Ssekasiko, the school director of studies, said the students are excited to return for studies though they are still traumatised.

"Out of the 109 Students we have in senior four, only 50 have reported back today," Ssekasiko said.

He called on all well-wishers to come to the rescue of the school because they lost all the computers and some of the desks on top of the infrastructure.

Some of the injured students we spoke to said they had to return because they are candidates.

Samuel Lubega, a student in S4, said he had to report back in order to prepare for the final exams.

Some of the old students of the school have started contributing help to the school to enable it to return to normal operation.
