The day is meant to commemorate and seek the intercession of St Adolf Tibeyalirwa, the only Ugandan Martyr who was from the Toro region.

The Mass, which is being attended by hundreds of pilgrims from various walks of life, is being presided over by Fort Portal Catholic Diocese Bishop Robert Muhiirwa.
