Kasese Municipality Mayor Chance Kahindo and his musical team have been involved in a road accident in Bundibugyo district.

The Mayor and his musical team named Rwenzori big stars were heading to Kisonko trading centre in Nduguto sub-county for a music concert.

The accident happened Friday at Tokwe bridge in Bundibugyo town after a Fuso truck failed to negotiate a corner and swayed off the road.

The truck was carrying musical instruments for the mayor.

"Seven people from my team have sustained minor injuries and have been rushed to Bundibuggyo General Hospital," said Kahindo.

He added, "I have, therefore, cancelled the show. I cannot hold it when my people are nursing wounds in the hospital."
