HEALTH | DR KITUUKA | DEATH

KAMPALA - Dr. Praxedes Kituuka Namaganda a Senior Consultant Paediatrician and Head of the Department of Paediatrics at St Francis Hospital Nsambya is dead. 

Dr Samuel Oledo Odong, the Uganda Medical Association President confirmed her death. 

“With deep sorrow, we have received the news of the passing of our dear Colleague, teacher, mentor and mother, Dr Praxeda Namaganda Kituuka. She has been a dedicated clinician, who worked in various areas including Nsambya Hospital. 

We will miss her, but her legacy will live on. Our deepest condolences to the family and friends in this difficult time. May God rest her soul in eternal peace!” Dr Oledo said. 

Dr Sabrina Kitaka a Senior Lecturer at Makerere University, and a Paediatrics mourned Dr Namaganda saying, “A candle burnt out, but her legacy will live on, a loving Paediatrician and an amazing mother! Rest in everlasting peace our teacher, mentor and friend. Rest well Dr Namaganda.” 

Details about her death remained scanty as family members who responded to our calls said they would get back to us but had not gotten back by the time this story was filed. 

Dr Kituuka also owned Doctors Plaza located on Nsambya-Gaba Road in Kampala.
