The nomination of candidates aspiring to contest in the Local Govt Councils by-elections in electoral areas where vacancies exist has started in various districts across the country.
This is according to the Electoral Commission (EC).
"In Kayunga, all is set for the nomination of candidates aspiring to contest in the District Chairperson by-election," EC said in a Twitter post-Monday morning.
According to the electoral commission, the nominations will run for two days today and tomorrow Tuesday.
EC noted set a number of basic requirements that are supposed to be met by candidates, before nominations.
