KAMPALA - The Electoral Commission ( EC) has issued guidelines ahead of the nomination exercise for candidates in the local council Government by-elections.

According to EC, the exercise will last two days starting tomorrow (Monday, November 29, 2021).

However in a Twitter Post on Sunday, the EC asked all stakeholders to abide by the set guidelines.

"All persons participating in the nomination exercise shall be required to comply with guidelines issued by the EC in accordance with Ministry of Health measures against COVID-19 spread," EC said.

EC added that "These include; observing social distancing, hand washing, & wearing of masks".
