In the coming year, with a grant from Japan, the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) expects to spend sh89b towards the improvement of 30 junctions (from uncontrolled to signalized).

This includes the construction of a traffic control centre to enable KCCA to manage traffic in the city.

“The implementation of this project is in advanced stages, and the project is expected to start in January 2022,” said the Director of Engineering and Technical Services, KCCA, Eng. Justus Akankwasa.
