Ministry of Health confirms 48 new Covid-19 cases

The Ministry of Health has confirmed 48 new Covid-19 cases in Uganda. 

This is according to results of  COVID-19 tests done on 23 October 2021.

The breakdown of the new cases, by the ministry,  indicated 47 alerts and contacts.

According to the results, Mbarara  registered 8 cases, Kyenjojo 5, Kampala 16, Mbale 3, Pader 2,  Kalaki 2,  and Pallisa 2.

 Terego 2, Amuria 1, Kabarole 1, Moyo 1 Wakiso 3,  Amuru 1 and 1 Truck driver from Amuru.

 The cumulative confirmed cases are now 125,758.

 President Yoweri Museveni is expected to address the nation on Thursday, October 28, 2021, about the current situation of Covid-19 in Uganda.
