UIA Saudi Arabia, discuss potential areas of investments

Uganda and Saudi Arabia have agreed to partner in various sectors to enhance Uganda’s industrialization agenda. 

This was revealed by Robert Mukiza, the director-general Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) while hosting the Saudi Arabian ambassador to Uganda Jamal Al Madani at the UIA headquarters in Kampala on Monday. 

“UIA is committed to creating enabling environment for Saudi Arabian investors to come invest and do business in Uganda,” Mukiza said. 

Particular areas of interest that were discussed during the meeting included; steel manufacturing, building, meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibition centres as well as copper mining and processing.  

UIA is a statutory agency mandated to initiate and support measures that enhance investment in Uganda and advise Government on appropriate policies conducive for investment promotion and growth.
