The national handball league resumes today with games at the Police Children School Kibuli and Naguru Katale grounds.

In Naguru, Mukono Lions visit Police Handball Club in the men’s league targeting their first win of the season having lost thrice in the previous games.

Seated at the bottom of the table with no point, coach Fred Ayet says that is the motivating factor that will push them to win today’s game.

“Yes, we have not won any game, but that is what will motivate us to work harder and win the Saturday fixture,” Ayet said.

“The league has just started and we are still analysing players to get their best positions, but the Saturday games we are going for a win because we are in a better shape than before,” he added.

In the other games of the day, Kyambogo take on UPDF and EverGreen face Prisons spears at Kibuli.

Meanwhile in the women category, Kawanda Secondary plays Prisons, while UPDF faces Kyengeza in another exciting fixture in Kibuli.

In Naguru, Nkajja host former champions Ndejje while newcomers Victoria University play Police.

Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) is top of the men’s league with five points from three games in the seven-team league, while Police top the women table with six points from three games in the eight-team league.
