NMS dispatches Pfizer vaccines to Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono

So far, the country has received a total of 2,153,140 Astrazeneca vaccines, 300,000 sinovac vaccines, 647,080 Moderna vaccines and now 1,674,274 Pfizer vaccines.  

The vaccines, will be stored at the district vaccine stores, as guided by the ministry of health.

The National Medical Stores this morning delivered the first consignment of Pfizer vaccines to Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono districts. 

Sheila Nduhukire, the NMS spokesperson said the vaccines, will be stored at the district vaccine stores, as guided by the ministry of health. 

“We shall continue monitoring the daily uptake of the Pfizer vaccine in the three districts,” she said. 

Uganda received the largest consignment of COVID-19 vaccines last week. This was after the US donated a total of 1,674,274 Pfizer vaccines to boost the country’s efforts towards vaccinating the targeted population.  

So far, the country has received a total of 2,153,140 Astrazeneca vaccines, 300,000 sinovac vaccines, 647,080 Moderna vaccines and now 1,674,274 Pfizer vaccines.  

As of September 25, 2021, administered a total of 1, 905, 039 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to its population.
