Vulnerable communities in Mpererwe, Kawempe division have benefitted from an assortment of foodstuff to enable them go through the remaining days of the lockdown.

Several companies have partnered and given out items which include bags of maize flour and other items.

Among the partners which contributed include Uganda Tailors Association together with Associated Partners of Livestock distributors, Home Hunts Properties limited, Opportunity Bank, and CBS Pewosa, among others.

The support is the basket of food for the vulnerable and needy in this Covid-19 pandemic lockdown countrywide.

The donation was handed over at the Uganda Tailors Association office in Mpererwe, Kawempe division in Kampala.

“We as Rhino leather and livestock distributors, we will always stand with you and need your support for business in future,” the Global market strategist for Rhino leather and livestock distributors said.

President Yoweri Museveni completely restricted movement of people, apart from essential workers and closed down many of the businesses entities in the city for 42 days beginning 18 June, 2021, as a move to curb the spread of the COVID-19.

Many people who include elders, persons with disabilities, and street vendors have been left without any food to eat, others have been affected by the lockdown.
