URA v Masaka LC

CRO v Kiira Young

Simba v Bright Stars

Uganda Cup

Sadolin v Police

WHEN Yunus Ssentamu hit the headlines as Cranes marksman at the Africa Nations Championship recently most people were taken by surprise.

Little did they know that the Vipers FC player had already established himself as the most efficient FUFA Super League striker.

During the first round Ssentamu, then a senior six student, played only seven matches scoring seven goals.

As the league’s second round kicks-off today, front runners Vipers, who now have Ssentamu for an entire round, will not only be eyeing the top scorers’ boot, but also the title.

Vipers face Proline at St Marys SS Kitende ground.

“Ssentamu is definitely a top scorer in the making,” Vipers secretary Haruna Kyobe said after training yesterday.

KCC’s Tony Odur, who has played most of his club’s matches, leads the race with 10 goals.

Vipers, who beat Proline 3-1 in the first round, will strengthen their position at the top of the 16 team table should they win today.

Elsewhere, Simba who shocked 2013 champions KCCA with a home defeat in their last game at Lugogo, face Bright Stars while URA will be hosting Masaka.

High-flying Kira Young also have an opportunity of joining the lead pack when they face bottom placed CRO.

In Entebbe, the home team will be desperately looking for its first top division win when they host BUL FC.
