Masaka, here they come, the soldiers searching for singing talent in the second season of Coca-Cola Rated Next Sing It competition, running in conjunction with Vision Group’s Urban TV.

So if you can sing, or even suspect it, just show up today and tomorrow at Maria Flo in Masaka town and impress the judges: X FM presenter cum flutist Siima Sabiti, Swangz Avenue production director cum singer Benon Mugumbya, and First Love Features boss Sharpe Ssewali, also a singer and song writer with several years of travel around the world with the gospel outfit First Love.

By 9:00am, the judges, who are clearly deeply entrenched music-wise, will be waiting for hopefuls to show up and audition with any song of choice, a song that portrays one’s vocal ability, and not a rap.

One’s getting a “yes” from them means they stand a chance at winning the heavily coveted sh50 and a recording deal with Swangz Avenue, if they ultimately emerge the winner come May.

“After the first stopover in Mbarara last weekend, where five contestants were selected to join the nation-wide contest, the search team is optimistic about discovering more talent in Masaka throughout today and tomorrow at Maria Flo,” says Joweria Nabuuma, Vision Group’s events coordinator.

The second day of auditions will culminate into a concert at Recreation Grounds from 3:00pm, where artistes Aziz Azion, Rema, Khalifa Aganaga and last season winner Daniel Kaweesa are expected to thrill Masaka party-lovers.
