MEMBERS of Uganda Rowing Federation (URF) fraternity opted for only two changes as they voted the body's executive at their emergency elective assembly held early this week at National Council of Sports.

The voters unanimously decided to replace Hamza Kahwa who was Secretary General and Raymond Byabazaire, the ex-Treasurer.

“Kahwa was suspended for breaching the constitution of the association and gross abuse of office. While Byabazaire resigned from the Executive Committee shortly after June 2012 and we had to fill those two gaps,” explained Vice President technical Charles Batambuze.

Seven out of nine clubs voted; Maroons Aqua Sports Club, Wellness RC, Crane RC, Greenbelt RC, Nalubaale Water Sports, UPDF RC and Defenders RC. Lakeshore RC and Lakers didn’t turn up.
