Pathfinder International is an International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) that has worked in Uganda since 1957 and has a long history of implementing health service delivery projects. Pathfinder International is implementing the USAID/Uganda Family Planning Activity (FPA), a five-year initiative funded under Cooperative Agreement number 72061720CA00004 by USAID. The Activity is implemented by Pathfinder International as prime and its partners: Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB), Samasha Medical Foundation (SMF), and the Uganda Youth and Adolescent Health Forum (UYAHF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Gender Labor and Social Development, the National Population Council, and District Local Governments of Bulisa, Bundibugyo Butambala, Gomba, Kibale, Kiryandongo, Kyankwanzi, Kyegegwa, Kyenjojo, Ntoroko, Rakai. The goal of USAID/Uganda FPA is to support the Government of Uganda increase adoption of positive reproductive health (RH) behaviors among Ugandan women, men, and young people as well as contribute to long-term shifts in Uganda's modern contraceptive prevalence rate (mCPR) and fertility rate by 2025.
