INVITATION TO BID FOR RENOVATIONS/UPGRADES AND CONSTRUCTION WORKS AT VARIOUS HEALTH FACILITIES SUPPORTED UNDER USAID/URC RHITES-EC PROJECT

University Research Co., LLC (URC), a US-based public company working in Uganda since 2005, is implementing the USAID-funded Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in East Central Uganda Activity (USAID's RHITES EC).

The purpose of this project is to support the implementation of a comprehensive, integrated investment in regional health, HIV/AIDS, and nutrition assistance. This five-year activity targets 12 districts in East-Central Uganda with an estimated total population of 4.1 million through a district-based integrated package of quality health, HIV/AIDS, nutrition, and child development services.

USAID URC RHITES-EC provides technical support to enable the implementation of comprehensive integrated health services and systems strengthening within 12 districts. The project's overall goal is to support the EC districts to increase access to and availability of high-quality health care services.

The project has allocated funds to renovate/upgrade maternity blocks at two supported health facilities namely; Ikonia HC III in Luuka district, Namasagali HC III in Kamuli district and also construct Five 5-stance VIP Latrines at Bugiri GH, Kityerera HC IV in Mayuge district, Buhehe HC III in Busia district, Masafu GH in Busia district and Lumino HC IV in Busia district.
