Hardly a few months after unveiling her debut album, Onsiibya Mu Ssanyu, Lady Aisha Kyomuhangi is in London enthralling audiences.
Lady Aisha, together with celebrated kadongo kamu singer Paul Kafeero plus Chance Nalubega, Winnie Munyenga and Fred Nkambwe, left for London two weeks ago on invitation by Buganda Centre, a Ugandan community living in London. They have staged concerts in different parts of London.
“These artistes have produced some of the best lyrics that have won them millions of devotees here and elsewhere,†said James Kateregga, on behalf of the Uganda community in a telephone conversation.
Last Saturday, the artistes, who were accompanied by the Impala Jazz Band based in London, performed to musical pundits and a distinguished audience of mainly Ugandans in La-Royale in north London.
The singers are slated to stage seven shows.
Before they return to Uganda at the end of this month, Lady Aisha is expected to record her single titled Nvaako in one of the best London studios.
She will have a collaboration with all the four artistes with whom she is performing in London.
