By Grace Matsiko And Emmy Allio President Yoweri Museveni’s eldest daughter Natasha has given birth to a baby girl, State House sources said yesterday. Natasha, wife to Edwin Karugire, a Kampala lawyer and son to the late Prof. Samuel Karugire, delivered in Kololo Hospital at 6:30am on Monday. The girl weighed 3.8kg, the sources said. “It is a moment of happiness for us,” President Museveni’s press secretary, Mary Karooro Okurut said. She would not give details. Natasha’s baby is President Museveni’s second grandchild. The child is yet to be given a name, the source added. In July this year, Museveni got his first grandchild when Muhoozi Kainerugaba and wife Charlotte, got their first baby, a boy. “When Muhoozi heard Natasha gave birth, he was very happy. He in fact commented that he was aging because children will start calling him ‘uncle’,” a source close to Muhoozi said. The source said President Museveni and the First Lady were equally happy about the latest addition to the family. Ends
