KAMPALA - Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has rolled out the process to purchase equipment to measure customer satisfaction with regards to communication package provided by the service providers.
The commission has issued a notice of invitation for sealed bids for supply,deliver, and installation of quality of experience(QoE) monitoring tool.
"UCC has allocated funds to be used for monitoring quality of experience for voice and broadband services delivered to the end users," the notice states.
QoE is a gauge of the gratitude or disgust of a customer's experiences with a service. The concept is rooted in telecommunication.
Interested bidders are expected to pay a non-refundable fee of sh100,000, payable to a a UCC bank account.
In the procurement schedule, the bid notice was dated January 22, 2018. A pre-bid meeting was convened on February 1. The bid closing date is February 15.
UCC has cautioned that late bids will be rejected, and that all interested bidders must have submitted their documentation by 10:00 am on the closing date.
The documentation containing the detailed bid items preferred, will be issued from the UCC Procurement and Disposal Unit. It is located at the UCC House; the head office Spring Road in the city suburb of Bugolobi.
Evaluation of the bids is slated for February 28.The best evaluated bidder notice will be published on March 2, while the contract is scheduled for award on March 23.
