Okee and 14 club officials concluded the week-long FIA organised event

After a week of training in Kigali, the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) president Dusman Okee has urged club officials to implement what they've learnt and organise high quality events starting with the MOSAC Rally next month.

14 club officials concluded a week-long International Automobile Federation (FIA) training in motorsport event management.

The course included marketing and sponsorship, communications, safety, conflict resolutions and event organization skills.

"Our major problem has been lack of knowledge but now that you have got the knowledge, take it to your clubs and organise better your events," Okee told the trainees.

The fifteen officials included Badru Ssebunya (UMC), Sayeed Kakeeto (Mbarara Club), Peter Kigozi, Ibra Kiseka (SMC), Frank Bayendera (MOSAC), Rashid Ssejingo, Daniel Ngobi, Valley Kamya, Hussein Kato and Okee himself.

The workshop was facilitated by Motorsport Association of UK officials Sue Sanders and Adrian Fawdington at Kigali Convention Centre.
