Renowned Ugandan evangelist Pastor Wilson Bugembe on Saturday launched the seventh edition of Campus Move, an initiative that aims at transforming and planting a Godly seed in university students.

Speaking at a press conference held at Light the World Church in Nansana, Wakiso, Bugembe said the church must play a critical role if the mindset of Ugandan youth is to be transformed.

"The onus is on the Church to nurture God-fearing youth that will transform our nation. With Campus Move, we intend to bring that to reality," Bugembe explained.

Bugembe revealed that the 2017 edition of Campus Move will see university students come together to dedicate their lives to God and to make common cause on virtues that will guide them on their life journey.

Ronald Amanya, the Campus Move's chairperson, said since inception, over 30,000 Ugandan youth have received mentorship on the validity of values and how they can impact on a nation's growth.

"Uganda's youth owe it to themselves to be at the forefront an initiative that will deliver this nation from the vices that have eaten it to the core,"

Bugembe will later host university students to an official Campus Move get-together at his Church in Nansana on September 23.

Bugembe also revealed that he is going to start a new church that ministers to prostitutes and street children.
