Crested Cranes for 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations

Henry Barungi feels that many players will get international exposure when the women national football team Crested Cranes appears in the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Barungi who doubles as the team manager of Gafford Ladies FC,said shortly after FUFA confirmed that they had registered the national side in the next qualifiers.

"Taking part in such tournaments is going to give our players exposure despite the fact that we had taken long without playing such events.  It's also going to give our players chance to show case their talent,"Barungi stated.

The 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations will be held in Ghana from November 17 to December 1, 2018.

The tournament will also double as the African qualifiers to the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. The top three teams will qualify.

Ghana qualified automatically as hosts, while the remaining seven spots will be determined by the qualifying rounds, which will begin on February 26, 2018.

Nigeria beat hosts Cameroon 1-0 in the final to win last edition of the championship in 2016.
