Coach Mukumbi's contract extended

New Azam Uganda Premier League entrants Mbarara City FC  have extended  coach Richard Makumbi's contract for another one year.

Makumbi who led the club to the top flight was delighted with the new deal.

"I am very happy to have signed a new contract. We worked extremely hard to have the team's promotion to Azam Uganda Super League, something I am very proud of. Now we must work even harder to stay in the  top flight league,"stated Makumbi.

Makumbi has been at the helm of different clubs in Uganda such as Soana, BUL FC, Fire Master, SCOUL, Fire Masters, Bunamwaya, and Victors FC among others.

Mbarara City attained promotion alongside FUFA Big League champions Maroons and Masavu to replace the relegated sides-Sadolin Paints, JMC Hippos and Lweza

The Ankole Lion owned by Western Region Youth member of parliament, Mwine Mpaka, have plans of using Kakyeka stadium as their home ground during the 2017/2018 season.
