It is now clear that UCU Canons are not taking their league rivals for granted, following their Sunday display in the 2017 National Basketball League,

The Canons may have had a slow start to the season but their three straight victories against the UPD Tomahawks, JKL Dolphins and Ndejje Angels make it safe for one to assume that coach Nicholas Natuhereza’s side is starting to match the top teams.

The Canons whipped the Ndejje side 76-59 on Sunday at the YMCA to register a third straight win.

Chuma nailed a game high 14 points and 12 rebounds while Namake and Maheta added 13 and 12 points respectively.

Canons have managed to register six wins from Ndejje, City Oilers, Sharing Youth, UPDF Tomahawks, JKL and Startimes Falcons. They have lost to KIU, Betway Power and Pemba Warriors.
