Despite the good performances in June, Uganda Cranes has dropped by three points in the latest FIFA rankings.
The national side that gathered 476 points dropped from 71 to 74 out of the 206 member countries ranked by the world governing body.
Cranes settled for a goalless draw with Senegal and Ethiopia in international friendlies before they defeated Cape Verde 1-0 away in Praia in the 2019 AFCON opener.
Other CECAFA Members:
Kenya (84), Rwanda (127), Ethiopia (136), Burundi (121), Tanzania (114), South Sudan (143), Djibouti (185), Eritrea and Somalia are joint 206th.
Sudan that has just been suspended by FIFA over government intervention in the FA work dropped from 158 to 164.
Germany who have recently won the FIFA Confederation Cup and U21 European Championships leads the global ranking with 1609 points. Egypt who have fallen four places from 20th to 24th is the best on the African continent.
The next ranking will come out on August 6th.
