Basketball: UCU in action against UPDF

The university side has had a worrying start to the campaign.

Men: UCU v UPDF (8:00pm)
UCU Canons coach Nicholas Natuhereza (pictured) has continued to convince himself that his team is unmatchable when they find their pace.
However, before they actually do, the Canons will have to double their efforts in the 2017 National Basketball League when they meet the UPDF Tomahawks this evening (Wednesday) at YMCA, Wandegeya.
The university side has had a worrying start to the new season, losing three games to KIU, Pemba Warriors and Betway Power in a total of five games so far.
It is therefore in Natuhereza's best interests that his boys grab a third win when they lock horns with the UPDF side but with their former display, it is unlikely that UPDF will match their more skilled opponents.
With a single win from the Startimes Falcons, the Tomahawks are another team that have shown all signs of competing in the relegation contest with the former.
In the women's category, the JKL Lady Dolphins will face winless Lioness in the day's opener.
