Power Basketball Club unveils new players

Power’s new players join a capable squad captained by Joseph Ikong.

Five time champions Betway Power have unveiled six new players ahead of the 2017 National Basketball league championships that start Friday.

At a press conference on Thursday at the MTN Arena in Kampala, head coach Arnold Lando promised fans a good season.

"With  our new recruits, we believe we are well armed for a good season this time round. In comparison to last season, our team just got better and stronger," head coach Lando revealed to the press.

Players signed by the team that suffered a 4-1 loss to City Oilers in last year's finals include; Sande Okot, Sulaimani Bbale,Francis Kasinde, Diego Angemi, Tyrone Martin and Julius Wapera.

Also signed is assistant coach Chris Kyebambe. Kyebambe joins Power from KIU Titans.

Power have made two finals in the last three seasons but have still failed to add to their fifth title won in 2011.

Power's new players join a capable squad captained by Joseph Ikong. Other notable stars are; Isaac Afidra, Michael Makiadi and Paul Odong.
