Easter Cup to prep teams for new season

KAMPALA - As teams charge for the 2017 League campaign expected to begin at the end of April, the Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) has organized an Easter Cup Championship at the MTN Arena Lugogo.

"The Easter Cup tournament is one way of having the teams warm up ahead of the season," said FUBA vice president Nasser Serunjoji.

The four-day tournament starts on Friday and has a maximum of 14 teams in both the men and women categories. Each category is divided into groups A and B.

 Charging Rhino, Pemba Warriors, UPDF Tomahawks, KCCA, Our savior, KIU Titans, Betway Power, Giant Stomers and JKL Dolphins make up the men's category, while the women's category will have  KIU Rangers, Gladiators, KCCA Leopards, Magic Stormers, JKL Lady Dolphins andA1 challenge.      

Winners in both categories will walk away with trophies.
