Mrs Museveni has dismissed the talk that she is out of touch with reality.

 First Lady Janet Museveni

The First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports has opened up on a string of various insults labelled against her by Makerere University Don, Dr. Stella Nyanzi, saying that she has forgiven the social media critic of the regime.

"I have received reports about Dr Stella Nyanzi insulting me. I want to tell Ugandans that I forgive her," she said on her social media twitter handle.

The same interview was also posted on State House official twitter handle.

In various posts on her Facebook account page, Nyanzi has heavily criticised Mrs. Museveni for urging Ugandans parents to desist from piling children on commuter motorbikes dubbed as boda boda.

The First Lady argues that transporting more than two children on boda bodas exposes them to all sorts of risks, including accidents. Mrs. Museveni suggested that parents should either walk the little children to school or accompany them in case they choose to use the boda boda transport.

However, Nyanzi has poured cold water on the suggestion, saying that she is out of touch from reality. She also scolded the Mrs Museveni for her ministry's failure to provide sanitary towel girls in primary schools.

Mrs Museveni has dismissed the talk that she is out of touch with reality, saying she has been working with local communities as an MP for Ruhaama County in Ntungamo district and as a Minister for Karamoja Affairs.

"Where does she get the anger and hatred to insult me and call me all sorts of names?" Mrs Museveni who for the last three decades conducted herself with decency and dignity wondered.
