Pastor dies in swamp after suffering epileptic seizure

He suffered an epilepsy attack when he was washing his feet

A pastor was last evening found lying dead in a swamp between Ogolai and Orungo Sub Counties in Amuria district.

Police has identified the deceased as Samuel Oriokot Isamona, a resident of Aduka village in Ogolai Sub County.

According to John Ekwaru, the OC Apeulai Police Station, the deceased suffered an epilepsy attack when he was washing his feet in Abokoro swamp on his way back from Aduka village to Orungo Town Board where he has been residing with his family.

Loyce Among, the wife of the deceased said they went to Aduka early morning for garden work but after, he left with their two children, leaving her behind.

Among says her husband fell into the water as he was trying to wash his feet.

Nathan Emagu, the elder brother of the deceased admitted that his brother has been battling epilepsy.

Residents who spoke to Etop Radio said the death of Oriokot is an immense loss to them.

Robert Egonu, the chairperson Ogolai Sub County advised communities to give appropriate care to people with epilepsy.
