The Police in London are investigating the murder of a 15-year-old school boy believed to be Ugandan.

Quamari Barnes is reported to have been found with stab wounds outside the Capital City Academy in north East London last evening.

Witnesses told news agencies that Barnes was murdered by an unknown assailant while he waited at a bus stop at 3.30pm on Monday.

Barnes's next of kin were yet to be identified by press time. However, some sources in London told New Vision that Barnes was also known by some of his peers as "Serunkuma" - a name that partly suggests his Ugandan heritage.

"He is the grandson of Micheal Serunkuma Sangi," a source revealed.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after Quamari Barnes was fatally wounded outside his school, a UK based newspaper Mirror has reported.

According to the Mirror, witnesses claim the teenager shouted "he's going to stab me" before he was allegedly murdered in front of horrified pupils.

Quamari's death has devastated his family and friends and resulted in dozen of tributes being paid to the youngster.

However, one tribute outside the school from a girl who knew Quamari was particularly poignant.

Written on a piece of paper with a picture of the teenager, it reads: "I can see you now, laughing at my art and craft skills.

"It was only yesterday you told me how proud you were that I chose drama. You made me think I was beautiful and confident.

"I can hear you say "hi beautiful" right now. You stood up for me when no one else did."

Devastated family members said the teenager had "the best heart".

His mum is said to be "devastated" over her son's death.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, an aunt, said: "His mother can't believe he has gone, she is devastated.

"Quamari had the best heart. He was a wonderful family boy. We just don't know why this happened."
