Pastor Robert Kayanja of Miracle Centre Church, Rubaga, in his Christmas word, warned his flock against taking peace for granted, stating that without it no development can take place.

"Do not take peace for granted and above all believe in God for peace. He is the peace giver," he said.

Reading from the book of Luke 2:14, he said that upon Jesus Christ's birth, two things were said, 'peace on Earth and goodwill.'

He warned the Christians who had turned up in hundreds to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ to stop expecting quick miracles because God does not always work that way but does so in steps.

"Miracles just do not happen like that. It does not happen in a day. Even the creation of heaven and earth was not done in one day. God has already ordained things that are integral part of a greater miracle. There are steps and blocks he uses to give a greater miracle," he said.

Kayanja said that though December 25, may not be the day Jesus was born, but because of his greatness, the world decided to set the day aside to celebrate his birth and that even witches, atheists and non-Christians recognize the day.

He said that believers should follow this example to take time and realize the power of their days on earth such that they can better plan their lives and accomplish all that they set out to do.

He also asked them to stay away from what he described as stupid religious arguments and focus more on prayer.
